This page gives information and contacts for advocacy for parents involved in child protection or with children in care or adopted in the UK.

Some services are run by parents and allies and involve parent advocacy.

We want to make lots of places to get help available so please tell us about your service

In Scotland see PAR – Parents Advocacy and Rights.

Advocacy Orkney is a registered charity and an independent service which provides free and confidential, independent advocacy within Orkney.

In England and Wales the Family Rights Group has a number of services. It provides an interactive advice service and a professional advocacy service and a young parents advice website

Legal Action for Women also provides help to mothers in England involved in the child protection system

In Barrow the Love Barrow families project may be able to help you

Families in Care provide independent Advocacy and Counselling currently for families involved with Newcastle Children Social Services.

If you are being investigated for Fabricated or Induced Illness then Fiightback may be able to offer guidance

In Swindon there is a service for people with a learning difficulty who have ‘substantial difficulty’ in being fully involved and nobody to support and represent their wishes.
